Adam Mathieson

Head Coach

Adam Mathieson

Coach Mathieson, a veteran coach with more than 26 years of experience coaching offense, defense and special teams at the high school and collegiate level in the Pacific Northwest, is the Athletic Coordinator and Head Football Coach.  Previous coaching stops include being the Head Coach and Athletic Director at Mountain View High School, Vancouver, Washington (2008-2022), the QB Coach at Division II Western Washington University (2004 – 2005), as well as working as the Athletic Director and an assistant football coach at Meridian High School, Bellingham, WA, in 2006, wherein the program captured the 1A State Football Championship. He was the head football coach at Ferndale High School (2003), in Ferndale, WA, where he tutored former Washington Husky and Tennessee Titan QB Jake Locker.

Coach Mathieson, the winningest head coach in Mountain View High School history (total wins) and Ferndale High School (winning percentage), has coached teams that have qualified for postseason twelve times, while winning eight league championships, and producing four top 5 state finishes, including a runner up finish in 2024, at Camas High School (13-1). Offensively, Coach Mathieson’s teams have averaged over 400 yards and nearly 38 points per game throughout his career, while producing 10 Conference Offensive Player of Year Award winners (seven Quarterbacks and three Running Backs), as well as the 2024 State Player of the Year (AP, Gatorade and MaxPreps) in the state of Washington, quarterback Jake Davidson. Defensively, Coach Mathieson’s teams have produced five Conference Defensive Players of the Year, including 2024 linebacker, Nikko Speer, under the direction of veteran defensive coordinator Dan Kielty. His 2018 team at Mountain View High School, led the state in total defense, giving up an average of 6.8 points per game en route to a third place state finish.


Coach Mathieson has received 13 coach-of-the-year awards, including being named the 2024 Seattle Seahawks Washington High School State Coach of the Year. Coach Mathieson has also been honored as the Washington State Football Coaches Association District 1 & District 4 Coach of the Year, the Northwest League Coach of the Year, and numerous Greater Saint Helens League Coach of the Year honors. In 2015, Coach Mathieson was honored with the prestigious United States Marine Corps and Glazier Football Clinics Semper Fi Coaches award and in 2018, he was selected as the Cascadia Preps 3A Washington State Coach of the Year.

Coach Criddle has been a presence in the Papermaker football program for over a decade. His tireless efforts to connect the program and the community is invaluable to Papermaker football.

Bryan Levesque

Director of Special Projects, Advanced Analytics, Scouting & Video Productions, & Media Relations

Bryan Levesque is in his third season as a coach at Camas High School. He previously coached for 10 years at Battle Ground High School and has also coached at both Mountain View and Evergreen High Schools. He has a Masters in Education from Eastern Washington University and teaches high school Special Education. His family includes his wife Jill and his six children: Corbin, Ashton, Kylie, Darian, Toby, and Gideon.

Jack Hathaway has been coaching at Camas High School for 11 years, helping to lead the team to state championships in 2016 and 2019, and league championships in 2021, 2022 and 2023. He previously coached at Hudson’s Bay High School, Westview High School, Evergreen High School, Heritage High School, and Mountain View High School. He attended Eastern Oregon University and Concordia University. He is married to Alissa and has a daughter, Adelynn, and a son, Nolan.

Avanish Bharth
Avanish Bharth

Coach Bharth enters his second year with the Papermaker football program. Coach Bharth, who will work with the Running Backs, has over a decade of coaching experience in Clark County. He is also a valuable member of the Strength and Conditioning staff for the Papermaker football program, as he spearheads the conditioning component of the summer program.

Ryan Donica
Ryan Donica

(Offensive Line Coach)

This will be Ryan Donica’s second season at Camas High School with 24 previous years of coaching experience. He has spent the previous six years coaching at Union High School, where he was part of the 2018 state championship staff. The three years before that were at Hood River Valley High School in Oregon and his first 15 years coaching were in southeast Texas at Nederland, Hull-Daisetta, and Monsignor Kelly Catholic high schools. Ryan is a graduate of Lamar University in Texas and Redmond High School in Washington. Ryan is married to his wife Joanna and has four children, Rory (20), Brendan (18), Bridget (15) and Declan (11) and they all live in White Salmon.

Ryan Hawthorne has been coaching at Camas High School for six years and has contributed to the winning tradition of Papermaker football. He played at Western Washington University and attended the same institution. He has a daughter, who is his motivation.

Matt Loop has been coaching at Camas High School for 31 years and has won state titles in 2016 and 2019. He also coaches baseball and basketball in the Camas School District. He attended Camas High School. He is married to Elizabeth and has a son, Ronan.

Leading the Run Game and the Offensive Line is Coach Rich Moreno. He is entering his third year with the Papermakers. Coach Moreno aims to share his pro experience with the Papermaker family. This is Coach Procive’s second year in the Camas Football program. For the past 44 years he has taught and coached in the Evergreen School District. He has spent the past 40 years at Mountain View High School where he coached Football, Track & Field, Girl’s Basketball and Wrestling. He is currently the Head Track Coach at Mountain View and has won a state championship and numerous district titles. Coach Pro is a graduate of Central Washington University. His family includes Mary and his son Tyler.

Tommy Schroeder
Tommy Schroeder

Tom Schroeder has been coaching at Camas High School for 13 years and won a state championship in 2016. He has coached at every stadium in Clark County and has 28 years of coaching experience at various levels, including Skyview, Battle Ground, King’s Way Christian, Hudson’s Bay, and Columbia River. He attended RA Long High School, LCC and PSU. He is married to Teresa and has four daughters, Tenielle, Tatum, Teague, and Tyra, four sons-in-law, four grandsons, and one granddaughter.

Daniel Velasquez Mejia

Coach Daniel is entering his first season with the Papermakers. Previously, he coached for eight years at Mountain View High School and one season at Prairie High School in Vancouver, Washington. Before moving to the Pacific Northwest, he coached in Georgia at Prince Avenue and Buford High School and in his hometown of Medellin, Colombia, where he led Hunters Medellin to their first national championship. Coach D brings a world-class passion for football and over 15 years of experience in Offense, Special Teams, and Offensive Line. His family includes his wife Aubrey and daughter Mara.

Matthew Williams

Coach Williams is an alumni of Camas football and as such he is instrumental in connecting the past to its present. In addition to working as an offensive line assistant, Coach Williams is the Strength and Conditioning lead for the Papermaker summer program.

Dan Kielty

Defensive Coordinator

Dan Kielty has been coaching at Camas High School for 19 years and was part of the championship-winning Camas teams (2016 and 2019). He previously coached at Evergreen High School from 1991 to 2004 where he was the Inside Linebacker coach on the Plainsmen’s 2004 state championship team. He also played at Linfield College from 1986 to 1989. He attended Linfield College and Elmira High School. He has a wife and four children.

Tony Asciutto

Assistant Secondary Coach (Corners)

Tony Ascuitto has been coaching at Camas High School for 10 years and is a veteran of the US Navy and Operation Desert Storm. He has won state titles in football in 2016 and 2019 and has extensive coaching experience in baseball, football, and softball. He attended Escalon High School, Modesto JC, and the University of Phoenix. He is married to Tamara and has six children, Austin (24), Peyton (24), Blake (22), Chloe (20), Kennedy (18), and Camryn (18).

Kevin Coad is entering his second year as a coach for the Papermakers. He comes to Camas having previously coached for nine years at Union High School where he served a variety of roles including Defensive Coordinator during the Titans 2018 State Championship run and most recently the Interim Head Coach for the 2023 season. His family includes his wife, Kim, and his two sons, Connor (5) and Kellen (3).

Jack Gibson

Jack Gibson has been a coach at Camas High School for the last three years, and won a state championship title with Camas as a player in 2019. He attended and played football at Whitworth University. His family, parents Karen and Adam, and his siblings Sammy and Max.

Andrew Gulliford will enter his second year as a coach at Camas High School. Andrew has coached at Mountain View High School for the previous 4 years, coaching Linebackers his first 3 years and serving as the Defensive Coordinator during his final year in 2023. Coach Gulliford will coach the Outside Linebackers at Camas and coordinate the Scout Team Offense. He played at Mountain View High School for 4 years and was the 3A GSHL Defensive Player of the Year in 2018, leading Mountain View to the WIAA State semi-finals. Andrew started his coaching career soon after his senior season.

Craig Hardin has been coaching at Camas High School for 22 years and has won two state championships (2016, 2019). He previously coached for three years at Skyridge Middle School and played for four years at Davenport High School. He attended Washington State University. His family includes his parents, Mike and Jody, and his brother, Scott.

Jim Phillips has been coaching at Camas High School for 9 years and has won two state championships (2016, 2019). He played at Wenatchee Valley Community College and Western Washington University and previously coached at Mountain View High School and Columbia River High School. He attended Wenatchee Valley CC, Western Washington, and Washington State. He is married to Jodee and has two daughters, Abcdee (25) and Veradee (15), and two sons, Titan (23) and Jairus (21), who currently plays at Central Washington University.

Jesse Parbon has been coaching at Camas High School for three years and previously spent 14 years coaching at Camas Middle Schools. He played at Whitworth University. He attended Aberdeen High School and Whitworth University. He is married to Valerie and has three children, Riley (19), Jack (16), and Luke (14).

Dr. Drew Brazier

Director of Mental Performance
(Offensive Line / Defensive Line Coach)

Coach Drew is from Mustang, Oklahoma, where he excelled in both football and basketball—earning All-Conference honors in both sports.

He continued his athletic career at Utah Tech (formerly Dixie State), serving as a defensive captain on the nation’s top-ranked defense. He helped lead his team to the NJCAA National Championship and earned Western State Football All-Conference honors. He also played at the University of Central Oklahoma.

Coach Drew holds a doctorate in clinical psychology with a focus on sports and performance. Over the past 18 years, he has coached at the college, high school, and competitive youth levels, and has worked with Olympic, professional, and collegiate athletes, coaches, and teams. He has also tested his own limits by completing over 30 ultra mountain marathons, including 13 finishes at the 100-mile distance.

He is the proud father of five: Brooklyn (Beau), T-Ray, Lincoln, Lennox, and Renn. Coach Drew is passionate about helping athletes pursue progress—instilling dedication, hard work, and personal growth on and off the field. He believes working on the mind isn’t about being soft—it’s about becoming our strongest and moving forward with purpose.

Aaron “Duke” Dukleth has been coaching at Camas the last 5 years. He has coached at Liberty and Skyridge Middle Schools the last 4 years. He previously played for four years at Willamette University and Evergreen High School. His family includes his wife Jenelle, and their son Evan (Mikey) and Alexandra.

Ray Espinoza has been coaching football at Camas High School and both Camas middle schools since 2021. He has over 15 years of experience coaching strength and conditioning and supports those efforts for the football program throughout the year. His family includes his wife Kari and their children, Kyle, Austin, Ryan and Jaxon.

Duke Smolin

Coach Smolin will be entering his sixteenth year of coaching football, and second year at Camas High School. Before arriving at Camas he spent the majority of his coaching career at Union High School where he coached Wide Receivers, Quarterbacks, Defensive Backs, and most recently coordinated the offense. He is very excited to be joining Camas football this year and the community that has greatly supported this program. He looks forward to helping add to its already rich history. He is married to his beautiful wife BrookLynn and they have two energetic sons, Betnnett and Lincoln.
