Camas Jr. WR Chase McGee was one of 12 athletes, 3 football players, to be selected by the WIAA as their Week 9 Athlete of the Week.
According to the WIAA website, “Each week, the WIAA and Gesa Credit Union will recognize WIAA student-athletes for outstanding performances and impactful contributions in their communities. All students in good academic standing at their schools are eligible to receive the Athlete of the Week Award. Students may win the award once during any given academic year.”
Junior wideout Chase McGee played a crucial role in the Camas Papermakers’ Greater St. Helen’s League-clinching victory over Federal Way this past week. He had a total of 129 yards receiving on four receptions, converting two fourth-down attempts on Camas’ first drive of the game. McGee also secured a 28-yard touchdown reception, helping his team finish off a 9-1 regular season in sensational fashion.
