The Columbian released their 2023 All-Region football team last week and 4 Camas Papermakers football players landed on the first team.
A pair of Camas Seniors were both on the Frist Team Offense, Carson Osmus (OL) and Trent Swanson (WR). Meanwhile a couple of Juniors made the Frist Team Defense, Ayden Jones (DL) and Nikko Speer (LB).
The following statements were made about each player in The Columbian’s special issue.
- Carson Osmus, Camas OL: Washington State-bound senior started at left tackle for team that returned all five starting offensive linemen.
- Trenton Swanson, Camas WR: Senior and Idaho commit was the 4A GSHL co-offensive player of the year with 76 catches for 982 yards, 6 TDs
- Ayden Jones, Camas DL: Junior’s plays included a fumble recovery against Skyview, which led directly to a TD for the Papermakers.
- Nikko Speer, Camas LB: Junior was the 4A GSHL defensive player of the year, one of the Papermakers’ captains and leaders of the team.
