Papermakers Roll To 55-20 Road Victory At Glacier Peak

Following last weeks close 1-piont season opening loss to defending 3A State Champions Yelm 8-7 at Doc Harris Stadium, Camas looked to get back into the W column on the road.

RB #2 Titan Brody ran for 94 yards on 14 carries and scored 3 TD’s.

The Papermakers did just that with a convincing non-league road win at 4A Glacier Peak.

The Camas Defense allowed only 1 TD all night to the Grizzlies Offense.

Consistency was the name of the game Friday night as Camas scored 2 touchdowns in each quarter at Snohomish High School. Jr. RB Titan Brody ran for 94 yards on 14 carries and scored 3 TD’s. Jr. RB Beau Harlin added a couple more TD’s on the ground as well., Both of Harlin’s TD’s and two of Brody’s TD’s came in the first half as Camas went into the break up 27-13

QB Jake Davidson found three different Papermakers WR’s for TD’s in the second half. Trenton Swanson, who had 8 catches for 102 yards had the first from 28 yards out, followed by Chase McGee from 12 yards then Nikko Speer from 11. Davidson finished the night 23 of 30 for 330 yards and the 3 passing TD’s

Glacier Peak had a 90 yard kickoff return TD in the first quarter and a 76 yard TD run in the third quarter to keep the score closer than it appeared.

The Papermakers improve to 1-1 on the season with the win. Camas will be back home at Doc Harris Stadium nest Friday for another nonleague football game, this time hosting Lincoln (Tacoma).
